Hi JS321,
Thanks for letting us know how this impacts your month-end work especially when you’re juggling with multiple companies. Exporting reports into Excel so the numbers come through as text is the standard, so switching the cell format to ‘Number’ is the recommended way to view your figures properly. There’s not a fix for this since that's how exported reports work.
Cheers,
Doreen
Hi Doreen,
We have been using MYOB for years and this number to text issue only began last week. We have never before had to do the text to number conversion.
Thanks.

Hi JS321 , one possibility is that something has changed in your Office program. Try doing a quick repair.
Which reports are affected? Give me a couple of examples.

Hi Mike,
I did consider that however when I called MYOB support, they also got the same result.
It is happening with any excel export so Trial Balance, GL etc. It doesn't matter if it's a custom or generic report either.
We use the Desktop App and only this seems to be affected. If I do an export from the online version, then its all good. Unfortunately, all our customs reports are on the desktop version which is why we're still on it.

Thanks JS321 . I've run a few such reports and the values in Excel are all formatted as numbers. (v2025.6).
