JS321​ , have you considered creating an Excel macro to store in your personal workbook that would automate the text-to-number correction? If you wish, send me an example of a report which needs correction, my email address is on our home page (datawise.co.nz), and I'll set one up.

    Hi Mike,

     

    Thanks so much for all your suggestions. I can do a work around so that's okay, but I was hoping to get to the bottom of why this was suddenly occurring. Since you don't have the same issue, I'll check the MS Office angle.
