Adding job number to receipts

I am a carpenter, so have lots of receipts. Is there a way to add a job number to the receipts to track expenses for that job. Currently i am just adding a job number under the notes. But it would be nice to filter expenses under a job number

Thank you

  • Hi

This is a really solid request, and I know our senior product manager will have some follow-up questions about what you'd like here.

It's possible that you might be ready to graduate to something like MYOB Business Lite, which goes a little bit deeper and lets you do things like this. Check out MYOB Business Lite

We could be wrong, though, and I hope you have a quick chat with Sue to figure out if it makes sense for you to make the jump to something more advanced or if we actually need to rethink how expenses work. Either way we'll be here to help :)

Does this question look familiar? That's because it's a part of a longer thread  by JBROWNE, it had so many great questions and feedback that we split it out to make sure everyone could find the information they need!

    Hi JBROWNE and Sigrid-Solo

I definitely have follow up questions!

Is the job number simply so you can reference it later? Or is it more so you can look at the job in general and see how you're tracking to budget or how much profit you made on the job? Is there anything more you can tell me on how you would use this job number?

A simple, searchable job number is on our list of items which we might explore for the future, but if you're looking for something more around budgeting or profitability, I'd recommend you check out Lite or Pro as Sigga recommended.
