Won't accept a payment to a company owner

I am trying to record a payment to the owner as Owner's Drawings/Personal Expenses. I did the same thing last year without any problems now it is giving the following error message: 'A Personal car...

    Hi sharynne,

     

    Sounds like the Owner Drawings/Personal Expenses suddenly stopped working.

    Based on how you described it, what’s happening here is that the Spend Money is being treated as an electronic payment, and MYOB doesn’t let you use a Personal card on electronic payments, even if you haven’t ticked anything on the card.

    To fix it, you’ll just need to change which account is set up as the Bank Account for Electronic Payments:

    1. Go to Setup > Linked Accounts > Accounts and Banking Linked Accounts
    2. Change Bank Account for Electronic Payments to an Electronic Clearing account (not your main bank account)
    3. Click OK, then try recording the owner’s drawings again
