Solved

Amount must be numeric value. Please correct the amount and try again.

Hi Community!

I have just migrated from Accountright (Desktop) to Business Pro (Browser).

I am trying to add an amount to one of my Automated Bank Rules, but it won't let me save it? I have tried typing all the amounts again, but still giving me this error?

Thank you in advance!!

  • Hi MaxxMusic,

Thanks for raising this, and for providing a screenshots. We’re aware of the issue where adding multiple amounts to an Automated Bank Rule in Business Pro isn’t working as expected. Specifically, when you create a rule with multiple amounts, it combines them into one line after saving.

As a workaround for now, we recommend creating separate bank rules for each amount. For example, instead of trying to add both $50 and $100 to a single rule, you’d create one rule for $50 and another one for $100.

    Regards,
    Earl

    Thank You Earl!

Yes this is an existing rule migrated from Accountright.

I will create a new one for the new amount separately for now 😊

  • Hello, any update of an upcoming update on this issue? I'd rather create 100 rules than 700....

    Hi marc22

Yeah, having one rule that covers a bunch of different amounts would definitely make life easier.

Currently, however, bank rules that utilize multiple amount conditions (for example, several different dollar values within the same rule) remain a known limitation in MYOB Business/Business Pro. The product team has it on the list to improve, but there’s no confirmed release date we can share just yet.

For now, the only reliable way to work around this is to set up one bank rule per amount you want to match, rather than combining them into a single rule. I know that’s a bit of extra work when you’ve got a lot of values, and your feedback about how many rules you’d need has been passed on to the team.

    Regards,
    Genreve
