Credit applied numerous times

I need some advice please. I applied a payment ONCE to an invoice to clear it ($3900 )  Now it is showing the payment applied 4 times on the same day with a different 'cr number' on each transaction  (Their account is now in credit 4 times - $11 700) How can I clear the account back to zero? Seems like a glitch - do I apply credit or void. Thank you

  • Hi skb123,

     

    Thanks for sending the screenshot. A bit odd, it looks like it’s creating multiple payments under Receive payments. Try clearing your browser cache first to see if those payments were actually recorded more than once or if it’s just a display error. And if they’re not reconciled yet, you can open the invoice or the customer payment history and delete the duplicates.
