Can't delete an imported bank statement causing duplicate transactions

Before I set up a bank feed, I used to manually import QIF files from my bank. The second time I did this, it created 2 duplicate transactions that I am struggling to delete.

I tried to delete the offending QIF file but received an error saying:

"You cannot undo the approval because the transaction has been reconciled"

  • Update: even though it said the QIF file could not be deleted, it did it anyway and was gone when I logged back in again. So this is resolved.

    Hey InnerWestSolar

Glad to hear it's resolved. For future, if you import a QIF file and the transactions in the file have been reconciled, that's when the error pops up. To get around it, if you click into your Reconcile accounts window and ensure those transactions aren't ticked or reconciled, you'll be able to delete the QIF file without an issue. More information on deleting imported bank statements can be found on this page!

  • Update: even though it said the QIF file could not be deleted, it did it anyway and was gone when I logged back in again. So this is resolved.
