I am having the same problem. I accidentally clicked on the Smart Reconciliation banner and was transported to an unfamiliar bank rec screen which will not allow me to "finalise" my bank reconciliation. The reason seems to be the old unused auto fed bank transactions as you have mentioned. I also have no icon to turn off smart reconciliation. Its disappointing there were not more steps given to allow consideration of moving to smart rec before it actually appeared for good.

I do not have an icon saying Smart Reconciliation nor Back to classic view.

Yes - can no longer reconcile due to historic transactions, which is frustrating. Why can we not just override this like we did in the past (everything for the month I am reconciling matches)? I also cannot see how to opt out of smart reconciliation? I do not have "smart reconciliation" at the top of the screen, only the ellipsis with another menu for bank stuff?

Old transactions popping up can definitely throw off your current reconciliation. A common reason for this is when previously reconciled transactions have been edited. The good news is our team can help with the heavy lifting here.
Getting old bank transactions removed is something our team will need to help with directly. However, note that they’re only able to delete transactions within a specific date range, not individual ones. You can either give them a call or lodge a case through My Account.
It shouldn’t feel that way, Helen80. We totally understand that Smart Reconciliation is new and that you’d rather stick with the classic view. This is currently in Beta, and you can opt out of it. On the Bank transactions page, click the ellipsis (...) next to Smart Reconciliation, choose Back to classic view, then click Continue. You can read more about it here: Get reconciliation-ready faster with Smart Reconciliation (Beta)

3 hrs later on the phone yesterday these transactions were allocated by myob to a clearing account. alternatively you can wait 2-5 days for them to be deleted. Then you will be able to finalise a reconciliation.

same. I can't reconcile May 2026 until I allocated unmatched old transactions. Sooooo frustrating! How do I undo all the allocations, so I can reconcile?

As per Princess from MYOB advice to me above, I put in a request to MYOB through My Account and am waiting for them to delete these old transactions. Should be a couple more business days.

I am having the same problem. There is no area for me to go back to the classic version . I cannot reconcile with the old unmatched tranactions. @ MELD were you able to reconcile once the transactions were deleted?

Yes but took 3 hrs on the phone to get through and sorted. They were reconciled to a clearing account and I was able to reconcile immediately. You can wait 2-5 days for them to delete them and I was told the same, you can then reconcile. They will be unindated with this issue. I hope my reports are not affected with the clearing account reconcilation. I have been told they wont be
