Please listern to old users

The response I got from Myob support - overall answer NO, 20 years plus using myob and format is getting worst. Please myob change back, even just the colours format and one really want is the search button on the right side, not left.

Thanks for your support request in regards to the new bank transaction window.

I understand that changes to established workflows can be frustrating and I do firstly want to apologise for any inconvenience the changes have made.

To clarify however, the new bank transactions window is moving forward to be the standard experience and reverting to the previous layout will not be available. While some files may currently still display an option to switch back to the previous layout, this is a temporary transition measure and that option will be removed over time as we continue rolling out the new experience across all files.

We recognise that the previous dashboard may better suit certain workflows so feedback is always welcome as our product team are continually working to improve functionality and enhance the user experience based on customer input.

If you have specific workflows or issues please reply back advising. Alternatively, you can also post on the ideas exchange forum, contact [email protected] or create a new support request.

    This has already been posted in the ideas exchange and I've voted for it. I have also had private correspondence with MYOB regarding the obvious inability to listen to feedback and lack of beta testing with real life users meaning the product is becoming less user friendly. I've worked with a software company and programmers think differently to end users and it shows in MYOB's lack of awareness of real life processing requirements in their "upgrades".

    MYOB used to have the easiest and best reconciliation format and it is what kept me thinking it is better than Xero, etc. but it has now lost me for promoting this product to any future client unless they are financial enough to use the AR Desktop which still works well for reconciliations and keyboard shortcuts. Though, it's too expensive for most of the small business clients. Such a pity after nearly 30 years of using MYOB.

    Thanks for being honest about it, I get why this feels frustrating, especially when the old workflow is what you’ve been used to for so long.

     

    We know there’s been strong feedback around this change, including the missing search button and the reconciliation flow, so thanks for taking the time to call it out here. If you’d like the product team to have better visibility of it, the Ideas board is still the best place to post that feedback too.

    I've been saying this for years as well, nearly 30 years for me too - old school fast data entry - no problems with my fingers and thumbs till I had to use the mouse soooooo much!  I've been promoting and training for years with clients, but this is it for me.  I'm done.
