Hey fullofquestions,
You’re on the right track and it could be a tiny setting with your petty cash account that's getting in the way. It's worth checking with your accountant to see if your petty cash was set up correctly. Also, if your cash‑on‑hand isn’t linked to a real bank, there won’t be a bank statement to match. You'll need to record your spends/receipts to petty cash and reconcile manually to your cash tally instead. Lastly, below are a couple of help articles to give you more info with reconciling.
- Reconciling your bank accounts (See FAQs: How do I reconcile a cash-on-hand account?)
- Petty cash

Hello! I hope its okay that I join this conversation? I have the same issue. Petty Cash is set up as a Classification : Asset with a category as : Bank. This still does not show up under the dropdown menu within bank transactions or reconciliations. Is there something I am not seeing that needs to be ticked or chosen to enable reconciling of this petty cash account?

Hey SharonRyan1965,
Cheers for jumping in. It's more than fine to join the convo. With Petty Cash set as Asset > Bank, it should show under bank transactions and reconciliation. Since it's not showing up, you can type in the account code directly into the search field and select it from there. Also, there’s no extra box to tick or option to choose for it to appear. If it still won't pop up after that, make sure to reach out to our team on Live Chat via our virtual assistant, MOCA, or by submitting a support case via My Account. They'll help you sort it out.
Cheers,
Doreen
