Recorded spend money item not shown in Bank transactions

Hi all,

 

In the MYOB Business online version. 

The recorded spend money item is spent from a chosen bank account in spend money page.

 

However, this spend money transaction can only be found under find transactions, but not in the bank transactions

 

My questions is, should it also be found under bank transactions?

    Hey dflwjimmy

    You won't find Spend Money transactions listed in the Bank Transactions screen as it only shows bank and credit card transactions that have been brought into your file via Bank Feeds or importing a QIF file.

    Ok, but it's also not listed in Bank records. so I cannot check the actual balance. it does appear in the Ban Activity report but then the balance is totally wrong.

     

    it's very frustrating since this has happened after the "forced migration" and some data didn't migrate properly. They now need to be added manually.

      Hey Jeromeo 

      I can see in the screenshot you've only got one Category selected, are you able to confirm that you've selected the relevant category those spend money transactions were recorded with and that the date range selected covers the dates for the transactions you aren't able to see in the report.

    Yes i only selected the Bank account i wanted to see. (Selecting more does not change anything)

    The issue is the transaction added manually doesn't appears in the Bank records and the balances is affected.

     

    here is an the same with all Accounts selected. no difference.

    Here is an example of why my balance is off when using Bank Activity reports

    Until the 30/08/2022 the final balance 01/06/2023, doesn't change when I change the starting point. (what you will expect)

    After this, when i change the starting date, the final balance changes. it happens almost every day after this. But not every single day, sometimes it stays the same for 2 or 3 days before getting affected again.

     

    to become a stupid number on last day.

    If I'm doing something wrong i really don't know what it is.

      Hey @Joremeo

      Sounds like we may need to troubleshoot further to be able to understand where that balance is coming from. I'd recommend reaching out to our support teams through MOCA or by raising a case via My Account so we can take a deeper look.
