why does the bank rec statement date always revert to todays date in myob essentials?

I am trying to do the bank rec today 3rd April 2025.  I want to reconcile to EOFY 31 March 2025.  I enter the statement date and hit reconcile.  The report is created the account is reconciled and th...

I have just spent half hour grappling with bank statement date reverting to today's date when trying to reconcile to 31 March 2025 exactly as Sarah describes, although not our EOFY.

These dates can be matched on other versions of MYOB I am using, but not on MYOB Lite.
