Change item to Inventoried Item

    Thanks for your post.

     

    Upon checking, you can't start tracking stock for items that you've already bought or sold. If you wish to track stock for an item, you can duplicate it and then make the old one inactive in the item details. For more information on how to create new items, you may check out the Help Article: Creating items.

Hi, we are having the same issue with a stock list of 3500 items, can you please advise if we there is a work around for the duplication method of tracking inventory.

Hi Girvan 

Unfortunately there is no simple way for a user to change the Items once they have been used in a transaction. However it can be done using specialist software - get in touch with MYOX Services, they have been able to modify the Item settings by adding 'I Inventory' settings in bulk, even where the Item has been used. Existing transactions will not be affected. Settings will apply to new transactions only.
