  • Hi iComm

If you have never used an item, you can delete it one by one. With the Item open from the Items List, select delete from the Edit menu. If you have ever used the item you will see a message advising 'Error - You have sales or purchases on file for this item'.

There is a MYOB specialist who can analyse your file providing you with a spreadsheet showing each item and when it was last used. You can sort the spreadsheet and identify the ones you want to delete. The MYOB specialist will then delete them in bulk, whether the item has been used or not, without affecting database integrity. Cost is around $275 for up to 5000 items. Let me know if you would like contact details.

    Regards

    Gavin

    Hi iComm ,

in addition to the above answer (deleting them one-by-one manually), you can alternatively inactive items in bulk yourself, via the import/export item feature. I often I find that making items inactive a better solution, this will also reduce your list, but you can easiliy report on them too if needed
