Based on your post, it seems you have already tried basic troubleshooting. There are multiple possible reasons for the error message you mentioned. I recommend checking the list of fixes to see what will rectify it.

Try deleting your internet bookmark and signing in directly from the myob website and re-adding a new bookmark. Worked for our firm issues when trying to login to myob practice.
