Hi SimonR21,
That’s a bit unusual, especially if you’ve already transitioned to STP Phase 2 before running your first pay. Usually, sending an update event sorts out the YTD figures reported to the ATO. No stress though—we’ll get it sorted! Compare your payroll activity and payroll register reports with your YTD verification report to confirm if the pay run’s been recorded, even if it’s not showing in STP.
If those reports match up, you’ll need to spot what’s causing the mismatch so you can fix it. Here’s a link with more details on STP reporting to guide you through.
Cheers,
Princess
Hi Princess,
This is a new business and I was registering for STP at the time of the first payment so I think it did not go through the STP process correctly. The Payroll activity and YTD Verification reports are the same but when you go to Payroll --> Single Touch Payroll reporting, the first screen that appears STP Reports shows the accepted STP reports but he first one is missing. So this screen and my ATO record do not include the first pay event. Is there a way I can push this through to the ATO so that it is included in their records correctly before year end? I did not find this in the link above as the STP event is not in the STP reports page but it is in the YTD Verification report.
Thanks
Simon

Hi SimonR21,
Since you’ve got STP set up in MYOB now, it’ll pull through all the previous pay data for YTD totals when you process your next STP pay. That first pay you mentioned will get included in the report with your next pay run. If you don’t want to wait, or just want to double-check that everything’s updated properly, you can process a $0 pay. Steps can be found here. This will act as a forced update, and the employee YTD totals should sync up with the ATO records. If none of this does the trick chat with our team through our virtual assistant MOCA or drop us a support ticket via MyAccount so we can sort it out for you.
Regards,
Shella
