You’ve totally got this. You can manage different pay rates in MYOB, but by creating separate wage categories for each pay rate your employees might earn. And when it comes to exporting your timesheets or payroll info, just make sure your file matches MYOB’s required format depending on the data you’re working with. Thanks Princess_R I appreciate your response. Do you know if when importing the data into MYOB can you have multiple rates per category or can you ask the pay rate to pick up the hourly rate from the imported data as opposed to setting up the pay rate in MYOB? I'm not entirely sure my question makes sense so I'll explain a little more for context. I have a pay category lets call in LH1 (Labour Hire 1) on Job no 1 the employee gets say $5/hr however for the same category LH1 on a different job the employee gets $7/hr. Would you then have to setup two different pay rates or can you import the pay rate LH1 and then the rate gets imported into MYOB as per my CSV file?

Your question makes perfect sense, but the system won’t allow you to bring in varying rates for one pay category directly through data import. You’ll have to type in those payroll details and pay rates yourself for each case. Only certain fields and columns are available for data import, you can check the full list of available fields and columns from the link I shared earlier.
