Salaried Employee

Question

I need some help with a salaried employee:
&nbsp;
I need to deduct some leave taken but not a full day so I am processing hours against this employee.
&nbsp;
I need to know the correct:

Leave category to link to him for accrual

2. How to process leave when he takes it against the leave accrual to reduce the balance.
&nbsp;
It appears I have incorrectly processed leave against an hourly wage category so it now shows a negative balance.
&nbsp;
I need to simply work out the correct leave categories and how to process leave against that category.
&nbsp;
Please I'm not getting much help using MYOB support.

Sounds like you've been working on this leave pay for quite some time.
For a salaried employee, you want:

Entitlement (e.g., Annual leave) set to “equals X hours per pay period/year”, and linked to your Annual leave pay wage item, so hours paid reduce the balance.
 In the pay run, put any part‑day leave hours (e.g., 2.5) on Annual leave pay – not a generic hourly line. That’s what knocks the leave balance down.
