Superannuation contribution refunded

An employee recently change Super funds and it must have been almost simultaneously to when payroll was done. The old fund refunded the payroll contribution to our bank but the new fund didn't claim ...

Can anyone suggest how to get rid of the negative amount in the super payable so it doesn't get included accidently, or do we just now need to be meticulous regarding the date period.

Hi Allison2002,

 

Great question! That negative super payable can definitely sneak in if you're not watching it. The easiest way around is to tweak your filter dates when you're processing super. Just exclude the date where that negative amount sits, and it won't get picked up in the batch.
