Since they’ve got a Tax File Number (TFN) and are set to "under 18", they’re all good for now while earning under the tax threshold. But you’re spot on – if there’s a chance they’ll rack up extra hours over school holidays and hit that taxable income range, it’s a good idea to update their TFN status.
