Processing Payroll for new Employee waiting for TFN
We have started a new apprentice that is 16 and has no tax file number, he is still trying to apply, is there a way to process payroll for him without TFN and still process through STP reporting?
Before STP we used 999 999 999 or 111 111 111 and would enter TFN when received.

Thank you for your post.
This would still be the case with STP, you would enter the relevant TFN number as per the ATO as a temporary TFN whilst you're awaiting their TFN.
