Invoice not saved

When entering a large invoice, with multiple item and a large story in the "notes to customer" section, I pressed the "Save" button, as normal, but was then prompted to enter "Two Factor Verification Code".  I thought this was unusual, but entered the code that was emailed to me, only to find the invoice had not been saved and I had lost the entire invoice and about an hours work. 

Is there a way to recover this entered information and if not is there a way to prevent this from happening again?

Note - Prior to this invoice, I had logged in as normal and entered Two Factor Verification Code and created multiple invoice without an issue.

    Our work should never be lost....ever....we actually save the invoice  frequently as we are typing bc we dont trust MYOB...

    Hi Outback_Fred,

    That definitely sounds frustrating! If you spend a long time on the invoice page, the system might think you're taking a break and ask for 2FA again, which can cause your work to be lost if it wasn’t saved.
