'Items per selling unit' cannot be edited when an item has been used in a transaction.

I need to change pricing of my products but every time I make an adjustment I get 'Items per selling unit' cannot be edited when an item has been used in a transaction..

 

how are we supposed to adjust sell prices

 

this is becomming the most frustrating piece of software used

    I'm sorry to hear about your troubles with the pricing. The items per selling unit only appear if you track stocks in the system and this could not be altered if you already made transactions for the items. If we need to change this information the only option we have is to create a new item. Here is the help article Units of measure for additional information.

    We do not knowingly track stocks of any kind in the system how do we remove stock tracking if this is the case

    Hi khotso, 

     

    Thanks for the response.

     

    Currently, there is no way to remove inventory tracking for items that already have transactions on them. Same way there is no way to start tracking inventory if the items have transactions on it too. What we would recommend doing is creating an item identical to the item in question and unticking the "I track stock for this item". Making sure that we inactivate the old copy of the item and start using the new item instead.

    Hi Genreve

    confirming we have ##never##   tracked    stock    but we have been moved on from essential to business.  with this I am now experiencing this for all my items  and I am now facing to having to redo all my items??

    Thanks for your response. 

     

    Sorry to hear about this issue. I understand how inconvenient it is to have to redo all items. Currently, there is no way to have this automatically corrected and the only option we have is to proceed with remaking the items manually. We appreciate your patience.
