Hi DizzyKP , in addition to the comments already made, I suggest that you break up the inventory adjustments into files of less than 500 items. In the past I have found that if that number is exceeded, then errors may occur but do not get reported. For journal adjustments, limiting the size of each journal makes sense anyway.
Because you have already entered your GL balances, the account number to use on your inventory adjustments should be the asset account for each item. If you have multiple inventory asset accounts, make sure to use the correct codes throughout. Using the asset account ensures that the adjustments do not change any ledger balances.
In your working (Excel) files, quantities, unit costs and amounts should all be formatted as numbers without commas or $ signs, otherwise Excel adds quote marks around these values when saving as text files, which can cause errors. Qty fields allow 13 digits plus 2 decimal places, unit costs 11 + 3, and amounts 13 + 2.
All location codes must match existing values in the data file.
Backups can only be made online, but can be made on demand.
