Myob Teams Invite Expired

I've added my staff to the teams app and sent them invites. They each received 2 emails one for the app, and the other inviting them to the team with a link.

A couple of them didn't action the email and the links have expired. I cannot find anywhere how to re-new the link.

If I delete and re-add them they receive 1 email and it does not have a link.

    Hi SK01,

Sorry for the late response. if you’re referring to the invite to the location in MYOB Team, you can give the invite a little refresh with these steps:

    • In the MYOB Team admin portal, open the employee’s location.
    • Remove the employee from that location and save.
    • Add the employee back to the same location and save again.

That should trigger a fresh MYOB Team invitation email to the address listed on their employee record. Please ask them to keep an eye on their inbox and junk/spam folders too, just in case the email has wandered off for a little side quest. If this isn't what you're referring to, you can reach out to our support team so they can further help with this. Make sure to contact them on Live Chat via our virtual assistant, MOCA, or by submitting a support case via My Account.

    Cheers,

    Doreen

    Hi _OG_Zentra

Thanks for posting your team issue here. MYOB Team doesn’t send a separate username and password email.

Ask the employee to use the same email address listed in their employee record. If they already have a MYOB login, they can reset the password at https://team.myob.com by selecting Forgot password. If they’re new to MYOB, they can select Create an account in the app.

Admins can’t reset the employee’s password or see whether setup is complete. You can check that their email matches in Payroll > Employees and MYOB Team > People > Employees.

If the invite has expired, remove the employee from the location, save, add them again, and select Add and invite. This will send a fresh invite.

  • Two things:

    1. SK01 Did this end up working?
    2. Doreen_P I have had to send the link three times from employees not actioning in time. The third time was this afternoon and they are saying it is asking for login details that they don't have and it is hard to confirm if they have originally set this up and have forgotten or are no longer receiving the second 'create your MYOB sign in details' email. If they have set-up previously, is there a way to reset password or that I can check from admin end if/when they have actioned?

    Thanks Genreve_S

I ended up just using the forgot password link (https://team.myob.com) myself and adding each employee's emails in to resend the invite email. This worked fine and we were able to set up from here.

When removing and resending the invite through MYOB Team, it only resends the first initial email that has how to download the app and states that the invite email will follow shortly. The invite email does not follow. The only way to complete this was to go to sign-in link as posted above and click 'can't log in to your account', provide the employees email address and click continue. This then sent the new invite email.

I'm sure they could have completed this step themselves, but if employees state they haven't received and aren't that tech savvy, above steps will work and you can resend the link as the employer/manager.
