Just waiting for this thread to be "CLOSED" as all the other backup threads have been... That is not solving the problem, simply sweeping it under the mat and ignoring the user (i.e. the customer - who you should be looking after).
Really can't believe this option has been taken away. We have been following the change to off-line files and while not particularly happy have prepared for that as best we can. It was not clear that the change included removing the option of off-line backups.
This is OUR DATA. We should have some control over what records we want to keep. There are two major issues with this - 1) online backups are only kept for 6 months 2) when restoring the file overwrites the current file. How exactly will that work?
