This morning a client showed me two reports she had done a week apart in June for Cash GST Summary for the previous month. The later report showed a large reduction for purchases and GST paid which didn't make sense. I had an offline backup from around the time she printed her first report that I restored and ran a detailed comparison report for the file I restored and the current file to find what had happened. This would be a very difficult and risky process if there are only online backups to restore and use online. This is just another example of how inexplicable MYOB's decision to remove ownership and control of information is.
