We pay a few salaried employees on the 25th of each month for the full month, but myob essentials reject the irfile and won't let me process the file till after the end of month, although IRD requires it to be filed within 2 working days

Hi homi,
Waiting until the end of the month just to process pay through IRD can be a bit of a hassle, especially since IRD requires you to file within two working days. When MYOB rejects an IRfile, it usually tells you why, and you can find those error details using this link. I also came across an older post that seems related to MYOB pay date settings and why errors can come up, so hopefully that gives you a bit more insight too.
Cheers,
Princess

So are you saying that Business Payroll can;t do multiple payrun periods??
My question would be are the monthly employees set up as monthly pay periods - differing from the normal payrun. This should work fine - even if the payment date is the same.

Hi Princess
Thanks for your help, the error #104 , i now realised that it was my error the pay on date should have read 25/09/2025. instead of 25/10/25 for the pay period 1/09/25 to 30/09/25
Not sure if it would work for future periods, if i continue to pre pay for the whole month on the 25th of each month before the month ends, it used to work with our exo payroll but now that i have switched to myob essentials payroll.
