Automatic Surcharge On Credit Card Payments

Question

Hi everyone,&nbsp;&nbsp;Has it ever been established (and i have read through a lot of threads on here) whether MYOB has the capability to turn on surcharging for all credit or debit payments so that it is automatically selected "on" in all instances and then you have the choice to turn it off. Having to select on or off on each individual invoice when you require it to be "on" for all invoices is just not efficient and means we can't really use the service, especially as it defaults to "off" right now and every time it's missed, we lose money.&nbsp;&nbsp;Thanks for your help.

There's a way to turn on automatic surcharge instead of having it turned on on every invoice. This way, you will no longer no need to turn on the automatic surcharge individually. You can check this link here for more information.

Hi Doreen,&nbsp;&nbsp;Thanks for this link and information. Based on the information i can only read that even when i turn on "allow surcharging" i still then have to select it to be on or off on each individual invoice and it will default to being off unless i select it to be on.&nbsp;&nbsp;I'm looking for a solution where once i allow surcharging then this is automatically on for every invoice unless i choose to turn it off on an individual invoice for some reason.&nbsp;&nbsp;Thanks&nbsp;Ben

Hi benesp ,If you use a 3rd party app like Service M8 (we do) then setting the default surcharge to "on" won't work anyway.The default "on" only works when the invoice is CREATED in MYOB, my understanding is that if the invoice is coming from a 3rd party, then the default won't work and you have to tick it every time. I hate it!
