Automating Item Numbering in Sales Register

We are currently using MYOB Account Right, and within the Sales Register (under the Sales section), we manually input item numbers in the Job section before sending and recording transactions. However, manually numbering each item from 1 to 100 can be quite time-consuming and tedious.

We are wondering if there is a way to automate this process, perhaps using the MYOB API and Python, to automatically generate item numbers in sequential order.

Any guidance or suggestions on how to achieve this would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your time and support.

This is example picture.

    Hey Tongil,

Item numbering in the job column of the Sales Register can't be automated, as jobs can be repeated for each item line. It's all about keeping the flexibility to manage jobs across multiple entries.

    Cheers,

    Doreen

Hi Tongil , why you need to do that is a question in itself. You may have tried this, but if you want an invoice with job numbers prefilled, you could consider creating a sales transaction in Excel, with the required lines and column content. Then for any particular transaction, add the customer name and date, then save as a text file, and import it via the Import/Export assistant.
