Change Customer in an existing Quote

It is very frustrating that I have to delete a Quote and loose all the contents of that quote, then re-create the entire Quote and contents when all I want to do is change the Customer. I think this is a flaw in this software and needs looking at.
I can understand limiting this option once it is an Invoice, but why for a quote?

    Hi ACWLtd,

I get how that can feel frustrating, especially after putting the whole quote together. With quotes, the customer they're created for is what links the transaction, so they're designed to stay tied to that customer. That's why the system won't allow the customer to be changed after the quote has been created. If you often use the same quote layout or items for different customers, one handy workaround is to save the quote as a recurring. You can then reuse that template and simply apply it to different customers when creating a new quote, which saves you from having to rebuild everything from scratch each time.

    Regards,
