The error message "Unable to authenticate payment" your client is seeing likely relates to the 3D Secure authentication process, which adds extra security for online payments, similar to entering a PIN at an ATM transaction. Here are a couple of things to keep in mind:
- 3D Secure is managed by the bank, so the authentication process is initiated by them. This means your client might not always be prompted to enter a password or code.
- Not all banks use 3D Secure, which can sometimes affect the authentication process.
