Customer invoice & balance suddenly changed by it self

We just notice recently that a few of our customer's invoice balance and aged receivables suddenly change by itself. After digging around, it seems like it happened sometime at the end of September 2026 or start of october 2026, not sure.

I think from memory there was an update in September/ October, and may have happened since then. Currently using Accountright 2026.9.0, build 2026.9.1.5.

**  Customer B -  after 5+ years of inactivity with $0 balance, they are back on the ledger with a (-$19.74) balance with an overdue showing from 2019 of $240.19...................the shop hasn't been there for years and no activity and all balances paid up before they close.

** Customer C have a swinging .01 cent - it comes and goes - I think it is a GST thing when they raise payments so I've left it alone.  This month though it is showing a credit balance of (-$34.82) for no reason from a sale in January 2026. Their account has balanced all thus far (other than the 1c).

** Customer E - As of 30/9/26, they have owing $2422.30, and Aug invoice of $349.87, Jul invoice of $1598.29 and a Pre Jul $474.14 (total  of Jul & Pre jul $2072.43).

A new Aged receivables generated today, shows total amount owing $2388.75, same Aug invoice $349.87, but the pre Aug (Jul + pre jul) of $2038.88. These changes also reflected in the customer cards.

Customer haven't made any payment, we haven't process any payment for this customer.

Anyone else having this issue? We can't trust what the aged receivables are showing, and if we send out statements showing these inaccurate & lower balance than what they should be, we are losing money.

  • The original post has a limit of character in the message, so I have a few more customer examples we have found below:

**  The initial one we realised was Customer A- original invoice $342.32 from Jan 2026 - when we went to do payment in October 2026 it showed $311.20. It seems like the invoice took out the GST amount from the items, and recalculated the invoice total with a new GST. We have set all our products to be GST Exclusive pricing. All the aged receiveable report we've generated since Jan 26 shows the correct amount of $342.32, and only the aged receivables generated in october has the new $311.20.

** Customer D - we raised an order for this customer for a product & freight fee of $12.50 ex GST on the 8/10/26. We then had to revise the ship to address as the customer changed their address and saved the order.

However, MYOB has now raised an invoice for that shiping fee + GST only with no item in the invoice. We haven't converted the order to invoice as stock hasn't arrived yet and we are unable to supply. The order still have the freight charge.
