Drag & Drop Not Working - in "Bills Attachments" only

Desktop App

Works fine when drag and dropping into the "In Tray" from email current MS365

When in a current Bill (or Sale - we are part of the trial for Sales, Journal etc attachments)

Drag a pdf (from email) and screen greys out.  Have to "close" at bottom to get out (as "Add Documents" greys out too (only after trying to drag and drop).

If you close out and go back in and click "Add Documents" you can attach from hard drive without an issue.

If the same process is done "In Tray" there's no issue, works fine, so it appears to be an AccountRight issue not a limitation of MS365 or Windows 11.

This has been an issue since we upgraded in August.

Hi all - here is a work around until this gets fixed

You won't have to save to computer first

    -Click on Attachments

    -Click on Add Documents

-Bill Attachments opens (where you would normally find the file)

-Go to your email and drag and drop the file into here, then click "Open" - the file you just dropped will already be highlighted so you don't even need to select it

-The attachment is uploaded without you having to save it first

-Every now and then just delete the files that are saved in the folder you are dropping onto.  I just created one called AR Uploads so it is easy to delete all in the folder at once.

The message in the link is not really related to this.

If this is apparently a feature request and not a bug why does it say "drag and drop file here"??

Take this off and put it back when you guys can work out how to make it work again.

    Hi BJ3,

Thanks, a heap for the screenshot! I know how time consuming it can be when you cannot drag and drop the documents into bill attachment window. This function isn’t working on AccountRight. For now, use Add Documents to attach from your drive and keep In Tray for email drops. I suggest to please take a moment to vote it on the AccountRight Ideas Exchange board for feature consideration.

    Cheers,

    Shella
