Intray not working?

I've been trying to upload files to the intray for the past 20 mins and all I'm getting is a "Something went wrong" message.

No matter if its 1 or 3 or 10. And this error is on both Accountright and web version of the program.

Anyone else having problems? Nothing on the service status page as yet.

I spent some time on the phone with MYOB support this morning and in the end the support said "yeah, there is a problem the developers are looking into. A problem with drag and drop and file upload. Will be fixed soon".

Seems to have been fixed as I can upload files again.

I forgot... It was a bit hit and miss yesterday as well. I'd drop in 20 files and anywhere upto 4 files would error out. Would need to drop the same files in 2 or 3 times more to get them to upload.

I am having trouble with my intray in one of my files (Account Right with payroll), sometimes it will work and allow me to link them and then other times it is empty when opened but still shows on the front screen that there are a lot of documents in the intray.  The other Account Right file does not have payroll and works fine and can link.  If I go in via the MYOB Business the intray documents are there, but as I don't enter my purchases through the register (just enter them directly), they will not attach as they are looking for a bill not the bank registers.  So frustrating.

    Hi DJ3

    Thanks for the extra detail.

What you’re running into is how In Tray is currently designed to work; those uploaded documents can only be linked to bills or spend money transactions, not directly to the bank register lines. That’s why they show up fine in the browser In Tray, but won’t “attach” when you’re working straight out of the bank register.

The current workaround is to either:

    • Create a bill or spend money from the In Tray document first, then match that to the bank transaction, or
    • Record the spend money from the bank transaction, then open that transaction and attach the document there.

I get it’s not as smooth as linking straight off the bank feed, but that’s the behaviour of the product at this stage.

    Hello Genreve

Sorry, I didn't make myself very clear.  It is through Spend Money for entries which I have already entered.  It has worked in the past to attach the invoices to the Spend Money I have entered. The Intray just stopped working or works intermittently and lets me attach three or four invoices and then glitches and either stays on Loading or says that there are no invoices available but on the front screen, it shows how many should be there.  I am not doing something differently, just trying to have the functionality back that I had before.  In MYOB Business it definitely will not allow it to attach to Spend Money that are already entered as it asks you to create the Spend Money, which I already have done so I would be duplicating entries.  It is strange how one of our files has not had an issue and the other one has had problems for over six months.

    Hi DJ3

Thanks for the extra detail, that makes sense.

If it used to let you attach to existing Spend Money and now the In Tray is only working sometimes (loading forever or saying there are no docs when the count says otherwise), that points to an issue with the AccountRight desktop In Tray in that one file. And you’re spot on about MYOB Business Uploads, it is built to create a new Spend Money from the doc, not link to one you’ve already entered, so it would double up the transaction.

Because it’s file‑specific and has been going on for a while, the best thing now is to get the support team to dig into that file:

Log in to My Account and lodge a ticket: https://myaccount.myob.com

Or head to https://www.myob.com/au/support, talk to MOCA, and choose Live Chat so the team can grab logs/screens and escalate if needed.

They’ll be able to investigate what’s going on with that particular file’s In Tray.

    Regards,
    Genreve
