MYOB Import Errors

Import Error message 25 Invalid amount and 27 A non-zero amount requires an account.

Could someone please assist to explain how to fix these. We have been getting these error messages when importing Purchases.  The amounts appear to be correct with 2 decimal places and all line items have an account.

Thanks

  • Hi met , I recommend removing the blank line below the heading row.

    Hi met , does the field layout in your text file match the order of columns in a file of exported purchases? The order of fields can affect the result.

    If you wish, post a sample import file and the log file here. (Note this is a public forum).

      Hi Mike,

      Not sure Mike, would it not then reject all the transactions. But in any case, attached is an extract from the last batch which had error code 25 and 27 listed.

      Thanks

        Hi met , error -27 occurs where transaction lines have dollar values but no GL account. There are several examples in the extract. All lines that have dollar values require a GL account number.

        The only error -25 I can see appears to be a blank line, possibly at the top of the text file. Maybe remove that, so that the first 3 lines of the file are:

        {}

        Header row

        First transaction line

        etc...
