Thanks, a heap for the screenshot! You can’t actually post purchase bills into a locked period in MYOB, whether you’re using the browser version or any other way, including in-tray uploads. If you need a bill in a locked period, you’ll have to unlock it first by tweaking the lock date settings. The system’s lock should be across the board, not just for manual entries. You can check this article on how lock periods works in MYOB.
