Thanks for your post. Can you go to; Setup > Preferences > Security > and check if the "Lock Periods: Disallow Entries Prior to" option is ticked?
If it is selected, then that could be preventing the Delivery Status of the Bill from being edited. You would need to turn it off, update the status, then turn it back on.
If the error is not caused by the above, could you reply with a screenshot of the error message and a copy of the diagnostic log?

It was not checked - however I changed the email address for the remittance to my own and sent it to me - so it enabled me to remove it from the list of remittances to print or send
