Supplier Card Has gone missing

One of our supplier cards has been completely disappeared from MYOB ACCOUNT RIGHT. The supplier no longer appears in the cards list, and when i search for it nothing comes up. I have also checked in active cards and nothing is there. Stange part is that all the purchases and payments recorded against this supplier over the years have also disappeared. Has anyone experienced this? or know what has caused this to happen. Can anyone help recover the supplier and its transaction history? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    You could look in the audit trail report, but I'm not sure that type of information is in there anymore.

    Hi Avisha23​ 

    Sorry - not easy to separate - you would need to delete and re-do specific purchases. Its easier to merge to cards into one - not break them apart.

    Thanks for the reply. I managed to find those supplier invoices under another supplier name. So 2 suppliers invoices are under one card, any simple way to sort this out?

    Hi Avisha23,

     

    That definitely doesn’t sound right. If the supplier card and all the old purchases/payments have disappeared together, there’s a good chance the data hasn’t actually been deleted. Sometimes the supplier card name/details get changed or blanked out, which can make it look like the whole card and history are gone. A couple of things worth checking:

     

    • See if you can find any old transaction for that supplier in reports or the Audit Trail/Security report.
    • If you do find one, open it and check whether the supplier name field is blank or has been changed.

     

    If that’s what’s happened, putting the supplier name back can bring the card and its transaction history back into view. If you can’t find anything at all, I’d recommend jumping onto our live chat support through our virtual assistant, MOCA, or submit a case via My Account so the team can check the file more closely, because there are cases where missing historical records need technical investigation.

    Hi Avisha23​ 

    Have you checked that the Card file name hasn't been renamed to something else by mistake. I would find a transaction you know did exist, and track back from there. We have often found that  its there - just under another name by mistake. You can re-name it back to the correct name when you find it.
