Hi Christined,
We’ve seen similar reports where AccountRight can freeze when recording or saving very large or multi-page invoices, especially where there are a high number of lines. Over time, older company files can also grow in size, which may contribute to slower performance when processing large invoices.
The steps that have helped in similar cases are:
- Clear the AccountRight cache, then reopen the file and try again.
- Make sure AccountRight is updated to the latest version.
- Save the invoice in smaller sections where possible instead of entering the whole invoice in one go.
- If available, try the same task on another computer or in the browser version to check whether the issue is environment-specific.
If it still freezes after that, the next step would be to gather diagnostic logs while the issue occurs and have support investigate further, as some cases needed deeper troubleshooting when cache clearing alone didn’t resolve it.
In the meantime, to reduce the risk of losing work, it’s safest to save frequently and break large invoices into smaller batches where possible.

Hi Genreve
While doing the invoice I cleared the cache numerous times, most times it did not make a difference. I also resorted to trying to save the invoice every time I added 2 lines. It still happened even when I did this. I always update MYOB everytime an update is brought out. I have also previously tried to invoice on another computer and with a different browser, it made no difference.
I did contact MYOB help when I was still trying to do my invoice. I had to shut down my computer as I couldn't even get into team viewer as the invoice was frozen on my main screen where the team viewer icon was. Before I rang MYOB help I timed the amount of time it took to save my invoice and it took 16 minutes. After I shut down my computer and was online with MYOB help it still took a few minutes to save(shutting my computer down generally saves time when trying to save). Help suggested the following.
- Do not leave blank lines in your invoice (I sometimes leave a blank line or two to separate categories so it is not bunched up).
- Clear the cache each time before trying to save the invoice.
- Look into getting faster internet (he tested my internet speed and it came back as standard speed)
- Still try to save in small sections.
All in all he seemed happy that it only took a few minutes to save and that was much better than 16minutes.
Still really hasn't fixed the issue as to why this should happen. Maybe MYOB need to look at this from a programming point of view.
