Hey MJPop
Are you trying to make super payments to a self-managed super fund?
To pay contributions to a self-managed super fund (SMSF) from AccountRight, your STP reports must have been successfully accepted by the ATO. This confirms your business is verified with the ATO and helps ensure SMSF payments are only made by legitimate, registered employers. Therefore, STP must be set up in your company file in order to continue making super payments. This change was made last month to help users stay compliant, information was included in the desktop notes from the last release for 2025.4 in May. You can check out the full release notes here.
We haven't stopped supporting STP. Setting up STP from your MYOB file is definitely possible, you can check out step by step instructions on this page. Before you begin the setup, you'll need to make sure your company file is online and that you're using the latest version of AccountRight.
Hi Amanda,
Thanks for the reply. This seems to be getting to the bottom of the issue.
Yes, a number of our employees have SMSF's. As MYOB no longer support STP for offline files, we already have to lodge STP through 3rd party software.
Sounds like MYOB just need to add a check for current STP acceptance on the ATO log prior to submitting a request to pay Super through your clearing house? Our 3rd party software can do a call function like this, so i'm sure MYOB could as well, even if you're no longer managing the STP payments themselves...
