Casual termination - ATO notification

Hello

I'm trying notify ATO of 2 casual employee termination , they only work now and then, but they have decided to resign due to age.

Using online version, I went into STP - employee terminations but their names are not appearing when I search for them in the drop down list. I went into desktop to double check that I hadnt put the termination date on their files but it is blank and their cards are still active. I don't know why I can't see them to notify ATO, have I missed something - is there another way to notify through Myob - can it be done on desktop?

    Hi CR62,

Thanks for checking in. Usually, an employee will only be missing from the STP termination list if there haven’t been any recorded pays for them in the current payroll year, their card is inactive with a termination date already entered, or their employment basis is set to Other not reported. Since this employee is showing as Casual, I’d suggest since their card is still active, record a $0 pay or sending an update event so they’ll appear in the STP list and you can complete the termination. If they still don’t appear after that, you can reach out to our support team via the Contact Us page so they can take a closer look.

    Cheers,

    Doreen

That makes sense, they haven't worked for a few months, I'l give it a go.
