Email notifications to MYOB owner

What changes to a company's MYOB profile are notified to the MYOB owner via email? Please provide a list of all the types of changes.

  • Hi Hus

Sorry about the confusion, the link previously shared didn’t tell the full story. There’s no single, definitive list of every change that triggers an owner email.

Generally, owners receive a “Your settings have changed” email when you’re the online file owner and a sensitive detail is updated (such as a supplier, employee, or SMSF bank account). These alerts can’t be turned off. If someone else gets them, make that person the file owner instead.

Also, if you change your Online Invoice Payments settlement account, you’ll get a confirmation email within about 48 hours once that update is processed.

    Regards,

    Hi Hus,

Emails to the MYOB owner are triggered when you update business details, billing info, users and roles, security settings (like 2FA), or your MYOB subscription. For how it works and who gets notified, check this article on managing your MYOB account.

    Cheers,

    Shella

  • Thank you for your response and the link. Unfortunately that link doesn't contain details on the MYOB owner notifications. Could you please resend the link.

The notifications that get sent seem to be changes that an administrator performances rather than more broad changes, like changes to supplier card payment details. Is this correct?

Thank you for those details - I'd consider having a list of what information is notified to be something useful.

An improvement to MYOB would be to have the ability to set up notifications / alerts for specific items, addition to the ability to select user(s) to receive them (not just the file owner).
