Get rid off self-onboarding invitation

Hi All,

I'm having the same issue again when setting a new starter. I don't want them to complete anything from their end, it seems I can't disable the automatic invitation that gets sent to them. I already untick the options, but keeps happening.

There used to be an option to complete this manually, but it appears that option is no longer available. Is there a permanent setting to disable the self-onboarding invitation (previously via flare, I believe).

Regards,

Indigo

    Hi IndigoHermawan,

Totally get how challenging that would be, especially when you've already unticked the boxes and it still fires off the invite. If you'd rather add the employee manually and fill in all their details yourself (no self-onboarding from their end), there is a setting you can lock in:

    Here's the trick:

    1. Head to Setup > General Payroll Information
    2. Look for Invite employees to self-onboard
    3. Change this to Optional, ask me every time
    4. Click OK to save

With that set, MYOB will stop automatically sending the invite and will prompt you instead so you stay in full control.

    Regards,

    Sai

    Hi Isaiah,

Please, Please Please then get one more option added to that dropdown box to appease the people who are paying for this subscription, make it easier for us - add in "Disable Invite" or "Turn Off Invite" so it NEVER asks and never appears.  Asking everytime is still annoying and can be accidentally sent off to new employees.  I want it GONE!!!!

    Hello,

Any advice on what to do when you have the setup as "Optional, ask me every time" but MYOB still sends the onboarding email anyway?

    Thank you,

    Katherine

    Hi Katherine_M

Sounds like the email settings are being a bit stubborn.

I recommend following these steps to troubleshoot it:

    1. In AccountRight, go to Setup, then General Payroll Information, then set Invite employees to self-onboard to Optional, ask me every time, then click OK to save.
    2. When you are in the employee card, just click OK to save. Do not use Save and request employee details, as that button will always send a new self-onboarding email or SMS regardless of the setting.
    3. If an invite has already gone out, you can cancel it via Payroll command centre, then Employee Self Onboarding, then View pending invites, click the three dots next to the employee, and choose Cancel invite.

If you followed the steps and it is still automatically sending, the next step is to get the file checked. You can lodge a ticket in My Account or start a live chat with our team by asking for an agent in MOCA, our virtual assistant.

Thank you, problem is when I create the employee card the only option is to "Save and Continue" and then it sends the onboarding automatically even though I have my setting set to "Optional, ask me every time". I can't even get to creating a new employee card without it sending the email to onboard, anyway around this?

Also when I went to cancel the invite I clicked on the 3 dots but the box doesn't display properly it hides behind the grey line and I am unable to press cancel.
