Hi Yun,
Thank you for the post. To edit the previous year's pay history in an employee card, make sure before making any changes, ensure you back up your data file to avoid any data loss. Back up your company file has detailed information on how to do it.
Then you need to access the employee card by going to Cards File and select Cards List. Find and select the employee's card that you need to edit. With the employee's card open, go to the Payroll Details tab and click on the Pay History.
After that, click on the year-to-date adjustment button. This will allow you to make changes to the previous year's pay history. Adjust the figures as needed for the previous year. Ensure the figures you enter are accurate and reflect what they should have been. After making the necessary adjustments, click OK to save the changes.
Verify that the changes have been correctly updated in the Payroll Register and Payroll Activity. Reconcile these figures to ensure they match your records and reports. Then, generate payroll reports again to confirm that the adjustments have been applied correctly.
Regards,
Sai
Hi Isaiah_C
Is this a new feature in AR2024.6 or perhaps in the browser only? Like Yun I cannot find a Year-To-date adjustment button in desktop AR2024.5.
The Year-to-date in the 'Show Pay History for:' dropdown certainly does not allow you to adjust a prior year total, only a current year total. The only way I am aware of changing a prior payroll year is to restore a backup.
Great if you can clarify.
Regards
Gavin
