MYOB AccountRight Payroll – 100% Salary Sacrifice to Super?

Hi everyone,

I’m hoping to get some guidance on how to correctly process this in MYOB AccountRight payroll.

An employee has requested to salary sacrifice almost all of her wages into super from now until 30 June 2026, then revert back to normal from 1 July 2026.

My understanding is:

the concessional contributions cap is currently $30,000 including SG and salary sacrifice contributions

employer SG still needs to be calculated on the employee’s ordinary earnings and cannot be reduced because of the salary sacrifice arrangement

What I’m unsure about is the practical payroll setup in MYOB AccountRight.

If the employee’s gross wage is almost fully salary sacrificed:

how do you correctly set this up in MYOB payroll?

how is SG calculated in practice?

does MYOB still calculate SG on the pre-sacrifice gross wage automatically?

do you usually leave a small taxable wage amount rather than reducing taxable wages to nil?

are there any STP or PAYG withholding issues I should watch out for?

I haven’t dealt with a 100% salary sacrifice arrangement before, so I’d really appreciate hearing how others handle this in practice.

Thanks in advance!
