Portable Long Service Leave Report

Hi

We are in the process of changing to Portable Long Service Leave.  I have found some great information in regards to the set-up in MYOB but there doesn't seem to be a simple way to create a report with required OTE.  The information is found in the Payroll Activity Detail Report but it is an extremely manual process removing the non reportable items.  We will have the levy calculating but not the reportable OTE.  Has anyone found an easier way or knows whether MYOB is addressing this issue.  It seems Xero users are having the same issue.

Thank you

Amanda

    Hi

We have over 100 employees and it takes half a day.  Only easier because we used AI (Co-pilot within our system) to sort through the payroll activity report asking it to exclude the wage categories that aren't applicable.  The reports from MYOB for both the employee export and the payroll activity are in terrible formats to sort through without an analysis tool. Some of our employees information was exporting on different lines making it impossible to sort manually.  We need a report where we can choose what payroll categories to be used in the calculation.

    Good Luck.

  • Amanda, did you find an easier way in the end? I'm a developer looking into this for both MYOB and Xero users. Roughly how long does removing the non-reportable items take each quarter, and how many employees is it across?

Thanks Shella_A, ANorth has put this forward already on the Ideas Exchange, I would encourage everyone in this situation to vote for this, it will save hours of work!

    Hi Interchange1,

Payroll Activity Detail Report does the job of creating a report with required OTE, but having to sort through and knock out the non-reportable bits manually isn't exactly a quick fix. You can check this link for more info. I’d recommend chucking it up on the Ideas Exchange board so others can vote for it and hopefully see it in a future update.

    Regards,
