Nice work cross‑checking with the ATO calculator, that’s a solid baseline to go by. When tax suddenly drops for just one person, the first thing to double‑check is the employee’s assigned tax table. A wrong tax table can reduce or increase the calculated tax even if their salary and hours haven’t changed. See our PAYG tax tables page and look for “Assigning a tax table to an employee” for more info.
