Sick Leave Balances

Welcome to the Community Forum.
If you want to adjust leave or entitlements you can go to Card File command centre > Cards List, open an employee card > Payroll Details tab > Entitlements. Enter the opening balances (in hours) in the Balance Adjustment column.
You mention not being able to enter this in for the sick leave, can you please describe if there is anything different that could be preventing this, such as if the line is greyed out? Are you able to please send a screenshot of this or any error that is popping up. (Making sure to cover up any private information in the screenshot)

How can the sick leave be adjusted if the settings are to 'not carry forward the balance to the next financial year'.
Employees are demanding the accrued balance be shown on their payslips, but it zeros out for the new payroll year. It can't be adjusted like annual leave balances.

Can you please send a screenshot showing that you cannot adjust this, as the above steps work for adjusting sick leave accrual and other entitlements.
Once this has been adjusted it should show on the employee's payslips.

Sorry for the delay in my response.
Have you managed to get this sorted?
The way to adjust leave is the same if that is ticked or not.
You go to Card File command centre > Cards List, open an employee card > Payroll Details tab > Entitlements. Enter the opening balances (in hours) in the Balance Adjustment column.
This will then update the sick leave balance for the employee.

I haven't come accross any Sick Leave entilement in recent times that do not carry forward to the next financial year.... I'd be checking if a mistake has been made here.

If a mistake has been made and MYOB is refusing to let you tick the carry over check box then a new Entitlement will need to be created (if the old one has not actually been used yet then you should be able to delete it)

There is no requirement to to display the accrued sickleave balance on payslips. (Its good practice to not show the sick leave balance)
