Single Touch Payroll

We were due to start STP payments July 1 2018, but didn't...

We had started in October 2018. How do I get the payments for July, August and September to go through?

  • Hi kimr1

The date on that first STP report will be October but the YTD amounts will be from July.

It’s the YTD amounts that matter to the ATO, so as long as they are correct,  you’re all good.

But, going forward, you need to report each payrun before or on the day payment is made.  We won’t get penalties this FY but after there will be penalties for late reporting.

    Cheers

    Hi kimr1

STP updates your YTD amounts each time you declare a payrun, so the months not reported through STP were included in your first STP payrun.

Download the first STP report you sent in the Payroll Reporting Centre, it will have the YTD amounts from 1 July to the date of the October STP payrun.  You don’t need to send the individual payruns done prior to starting STP.

    Cheers

      Hi Tracey,

      Thank you!

      The date still says October?

      Thanks Kim
